There are many language schools in Guanajuato, but Devela caters specifically to nomadic travelers: digital nomads, worldschooling families, and traveling homeschoolers. Our school was designed for people who are traveling long-term for personal growth, education, or just to see the world.

Ongoing Classes for Nomadic Travelers
The Devela Language School provides classes throughout the year to digital nomads, traveling homeschoolers, and worldschool families. For a small fee, special events, meetings, and workshops can be scheduled by travelers themselves in the multipurpose space when there are no other activities going on in this space.
Language classes are ongoing at the Devela School, but throughout the year, we offer other exciting events and opportunities to digital nomads and traveling families. Annually, we offer a fall session of dynamic classes and workshops on a wide array of topics for both adults and kids. The fall session ends with a Halloween event at Encino Park, located next door to the Devela Headquarters. This event runs exclusively off volunteers and profits go to renovate and maintain this important park space in our community. Throughout the year, we invite different hosts to set up educational events specifically tailored to nomadic lifestyles.
Encino ParkEncino Park is located next door to Devela Headquarters in Guanajuato, Mexico. This park is an incredible work of art that’s
used by local families in our community as well as by traveling families. The City of Guanajuato has given us permission to use
the park for special events and classes (we have a special building in the park) and we’ve agreed to do fundraising to build new
facilities and maintain the existing space.

See the World... Together!
Devela also hosts classes and events in Myanmar. Students who would like to learn the Burmese language before they enter the country on a 28-day Myanmar visa, are welcome to sign up for in-person prep classes to enhance their time in this incredible country. Our Myanmar programs are designed to get travelers off the beaten path. Profits go to create affordable educational programs in technology for underprivileged students to enhance the economic potential of Myanmar citizens.
